1: Initial analysis
Undertake customer billing and usage analysis, review 12 months’ worth of data from the current electricity supplier, review consumption and consider the unit costs and standing charge, as well as the contract end date.
2: Desktop survey
Complete desktop survey and a thorough online survey of the site location (inclusive of relevant Google Earth images, etc.). During this step, we will ascertain the roof type, type of pitch, and any obstacles that could impact the panel array.
3: Project design
Undertake project design and prepare a roof diagram using our dedicated software tool. This enables us to complete a diagram of the roof including details of the pitch and any obstacles. We then utilise the diagram to create the array of panels including the layout. This step also includes a calculation of any additional equipment that may be needed, including accessories, etc. to enable us to complete the installation.
4: Proposal
Prepare a proposal following completion of the steps above which includes the illustration of projected output of the array and any financial projections for the next 25 years. Any proposal completed at this stage can be subject to change following completion of the next step relating to an on-site survey.
5: On-site survey
This step is required to check the pitch details and roof structure, primarily to enable us to ascertain the entry of any electricity feed, as well as a review of the circuit board and a sense check of any meter location.
6: Distribution network operator application
The work required at this step can vary depending on the array of panels that we are providing (e.g. G98 / G99 A1-1 / G99 A1-3 / G99 50KW application / PV array test report, etc.). Approximately 25% of such panels are rejected after an initial 45-day period .
7: Confirmation of installation date
We will confirm any installation and access date and will work with you to arrange key dates with all relevant third parties (e.g. scaffolding, skip, electrician, roofer, etc.).
8: Hardware order
Following confirmation of any installation and access date, we will place orders for all equipment required from leading manufacturers. This includes all materials needed for a successful installation from racks, mounts, clamps, etc. to label sheets and inverters.
9: Final meeting
This step involves a final site meeting where all key elements relating to any installation can be discussed. This includes the proposed timescale, any safety consideration, RAMS, etc.
10: Installation
The panels are installed, any electrical work is completed and signed off fully by a dedicated on-site contact that has been agreed with you in advance as part of the above planning stages.
11: Handover
This is completed by specialist MCS accredited engineers and includes a full MSC certificate being supplied that enables you to supply power to the grid and take advantage of any feed-in tariffs.
12: Solar application set-up and configuration
Each site is placed on the inverter portal which can be accessed via mobile and desktop applications.
13: Application & ongoing panel management
This includes hourly and daily statistics being made available, efficiency testing and fault diagnostics, etc. Our specialist analysts can advise on the key timings and modules available that are the most effective, as well as recommend other solutions to you to ensure that you obtain the most beneficial information and insight for own ongoing management needs.
14: General maintenance
This involves module and array cleaning, snow and dust removal and panel replacement (if/when required).
15: Ongoing safety and electrical management
This step is undertaken on an annual basis and includes an actual on-site visit every five years from our dedicated professional electricians who are well equipped and qualified to check all components to ensure that they remain safe and efficient.
